Chailey Parish Magazine notes in its March and April 1916 issues that Charles Ventham has attested.  These are the only two references to this man in this publication and it has not been possible to date to provide a link between him and Chailey.

 

The 1901 census of England and Wales lists six men with this name, none of these individuals with Sussex connections.
